Subject: Oh yeah
I'm with ya Wally--came down from Orono for this one, met my buds at Front Street Station in the seats. Sound at CCCC not the best but Maine shows were always special because they were so rare. Crowd was tight with band as Wally says. Some really good weed going around at this show if I remember correctly. A great way to finish college sophomore year for sure.

Subject: An Average Show Turned Great!
Who can pass on a GD show in Maine? My first time to the CCCC, but not the last. I eventually moved to Portland and visited GD shows in from my apt to the gig in bear feat, and bare feet too. From the biginning, Jerry's ampted, he's got the growl in voice (remember Sprinfield '78?). Listen to the crowd, their clapping is so tight, like a Maine show. Upon arrival, it was the usual scene, biker debauchery, wide-eyed loonitics, side walk vendors. I remember a couple fuckin' up against the hockey boards during the second set. It was the music amonst the chaos that seemed so fine, so over the top, an average show turned great, the way the GD can. A solid four-star performance, bumbed up to a subjective five.
